Looking for line dancing lessons in the heart of downtown Toronto?
You've found the best social group to learn the basic steps of line dancing in a class-type setting right in the heart of Toronto! Central Neighbourhood House is located four blocks East of the Maple Leaf Gardens. We dance in the air conditioned gymnasium with free parking on-site or on the street. Our core group of various ages dances to pop, country, disco and so many genres of music to appease all!
In consideration of those with scent sensitivities, please refrain from wearing heavy scents - perfumes, colognes, etc.!!!

Monday & Tuesday afternoons: Fall sessions with the City of Toronto begin October 2025 @ Regent Park & Wellesley Community Centres
Monday evenings: sessions are on-going (except on statutory holidays & when I'm on vacation) @ Central Neighbourhood House
Tuesday evenings: Fall sessions begin October 2025 @ Timothy Eaton Memorial Church
Wednesday evenings: sessions are on-going throughout the year @ The Irish Club of Mississauga (I'm there every other Wednesday)
Thursday afternoons: Fall sessions begin October 2025 @ Timothy Eaton Memorial Church

What will you get out of line dancing?
LINE DANCING WILL:
Teach you to dance: Line dancing teaches you to actually move your body
Improve your Balance: teaches you to maintain your own balance while moving to a beat
Help you find the beat: learning to find the beat and timing of any dance is critical before getting with a partner
Teach you basic footwork: learn to do triple steps, turns and spins, rocking steps and many other steps that you will use in every form of dance
Provide you a way to practice: line dances are a perfect structured means to practice dance technique
Improve your confidence: helps overcome the feeling of having "two left feet"; offers sense of pride and accomplishment
Health benefits: heart-healthy benefits of aerobic exercise and stimulates the mind which can reduce risks of Alzheimer and other forms of dementia along with reducing stress & tension
